Project Architect/ Associate (Howeler + Yoon Architecture LLP; Boston, MA):


 

Duties and responsibilities: Work with the office leadership to prepare agreements with clients and work plans
in alignment with projects’ goals, schedule, and deliverables; Monitor and manage project
schedule, work plan, and financial performance of projects; Manage client relationship and
expectations; Lead the development of design in compliance with projects’ objectives, budget, and
schedule as well as building codes and other regulatory requirements; Lead the design,
programmatic, contextual, and cultural research and analysis required for projects; Lead the
production of deliverables in all phases to establish an effective communication of design intent;
Communicate and maintain quality of design and deliverables consistent with office standards;
Collaborate with consultants to ensure that the design and deliverables are coordinated and fulfill
the project’s goals; Lead internal and external project meetings and prepare meeting agendas and
project status updates; Contribute to the business development, public relations, and marketing
efforts of the office; Contribute to the development of office standards, policies, and procedures;
and Train and mentor team members and engage in professional development within the office.
Up to 5% domestic and 1% international travel required to client locations.


 

Minimum requirements: Master's degree or equivalent professional degree in Architecture;
PLUS 1 year of post-graduate architectural experience.


 

Must have: Demonstrated experience in coordinating small to large scale building projects;
Demonstrated excellent design and graphic skills, with the ability to participate in the
conceptualization, design, and documentation of complex projects from the pre-design through
construction documents phases; Demonstrated experience as a designer on built and published
references; Demonstrated experience with construction documents and construction contract
administration; Demonstrated strong organizational skills, ability to manage deadlines, and ability
to be flexible; Excellent communication, collaboration, and management skills; Demonstrated
proficiency in Revit; Demonstrated proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D modeling; Demonstrated
proficiency in Grasshopper; Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Suite; and Demonstrated
proficiency in Google Suite. (Unless otherwise indicated, employer is seeking the ability in the
skills listed above with no specific number of years of experience required. All experience can be
gained concurrently.)
